Hillary flip-flops on Obama statement

“I thought that was irresponsible and frankly naive… I don’t want to be used for propaganda purposes.”

– Senator Hillary Clinton, in an interview earlier today with the Quad City Times, criticizing Senator Barack Obama‘s statement last night that as president he would meet with “the leaders of several countries antagonistic to the United States.”

Compare that with another statement a few months ago:

“I would begin diplomatic discussions with those countries with whom we have differences, to try to figure out what is the depth of those differences. I think it is a terrible mistake for our president to say he will not talk with bad people. You don’t make peace with your friends — you have to do the hard work of dealing with people you don’t agree with.”

– Clinton, quoted by CBS News on April 22, 2007, criticizing President Bush‘s refusal to meet with “supposed enemies” of the United States.

(A tip of the hat to PoliticalWire.com for this little tidbit)

Just love how Google sticks that Obama propoganda (Free Report) ad next to anything positive about the Senator. I had clicked on it several months ago, and watched a video which says such things as “his hospital” and I actually went searching to see if he did, indeed, own a hospital.

Think I will go find some H.Clinton blogs and see if there is a “The Truth About Hlllary” smear ad. Sigh.
