Obama’s Report Card – a few opinions
OK, he’s been at this job for 10 months, and this website is still active… at least for now.
So, how’s President Obama doing so far?
Juan Cole grades Obama’s foreign policy, which for various reasons, doesn’t include Afghanistan.
St. Petersburg Times’ PolitiFact has compiled more than 500 promises that Barack Obama made during the campaign and is tracking their progress on a special “Obameter.”
Alan S. Blinder, a professor of economics and public affairs at Princeton, analyzes just what has the Obama administration actually accomplished?
David Macaray, a Los Angeles playwright, writer, and former union representative gives Obama a mixed report card over at CounterPunch.
.. and then there’s Saturday Night Live….

Let’s see. The banking system has been saved from what a lot of people thought was imminent collapse. The stock market is up by about 50% since its lowest point shortly after the inauguration. General Motors and Ford are still in business, when a few months ago we were in danger of losing the entire American auto industry. Housing prices have stabilized and are now on the upswing. Most forecasters believe we are now out of recession. The United States of America no longer tortures prisoners in our custody, and abides by international law. The United States has become the most admired nation in the world. We are on the verge of enacting history health reform legislation. And oh yes, the President of the United States won the Nobel Peace Prize.

There is a true and real reason why Obama’s report card would not earn him high honors, actually, not honors at all. Entirely too much fluff, and not nearly enough results, and while the American people are consistently struggling, he seems to be oblivious. Exactly who have we elected? And why?

I’ll have to say D- After a year he’s still blaming the past administration! he has (had hahha) the majority in the house and senate!! What an imbicile…We need Jobs..Peroid! that means tax cuts! And- he should parhaps stimulate the small buisness in this country…Does anyone know how many people can be hired with the trillions that this clown spent on bribes, and the funnel to his old friends in chicago? The money is just disappearing…anyone watching it? noooo that can’t be done…It’s being thrown down a rat hole!
